Second stage of Yan Couto at Girona FC
The Brazilian winger arrives on loan from Manchester City and will debut in LaLiga Santander
Yan Couto will experience his second stage in Montilivi and will make his debut with Girona FC in LaLiga Santander. The 20-year-old Brazilian winger will arrive again on loan until the end of the season from Manchester City after having played last season at SC Braga. With the Portuguese team, Couto participated in 42 games, including 9 in the Europa League.
Couto arrived at Girona FC in the summer of 2020 from Manchester City. In his first stay in Montilivi he played 30 games, of which 22 in the regular league, 4 in the Cup and 4 more in promotion to First Division, even managing to score two goals, one of them in the first leg of the play-off against Almeria.
Trained in the base football of Curitiba in his country, he stood out in the lower categories of the Brazilian team. In 2019 he was included in The Guardian's "Next Generation 2019" list as one of the 60 promises of world football. That list included footballers like Ansu Fati or Pedri.
