Christian Stuani, reference and idol at Montilivi, added his 200th game with Girona this Monday against Atlético de Madrid and thus became .the sixth footballer with the most matches with the Girona shirt in professional football.
The Uruguayan footballer arrived in Girona in the summer of 2017 from the English Middlesbrough, to be one of the leaders of the Club's first project in La Liga Santander, but he has exceeded all expectations, becoming the top scorer in history entity
His first match with Girona was precisely against Atlético de Madrid, in the team's debut in Primera. It was August 17, 2020, and Stuani would score two goals (2-2).
Stuani, 36 years old and under contract until 2026, has scored 114 goals in these 200 games with Girona: 21 in 33 games in the 2017-18 season, 21 goals in 35 games in 2018-19. In 2019-20 he scored 31 in 40 games. The 2020-21 season added 10 in 29 games. Last season he scored 24 goals in 42 games and this season he has 7 in 21 appearances. In total, 114 in 200 games.
The Tala forward is the Girona player with the most games in Primera, ahead of Juanpe (80), Bernardo (79), Borja García (77) and Aleix Garcia (76).
