LaLiga has started a new era with its strategic partner for the next five seasons, Electronic Arts Inc. From now on, our championship will be transformed into LaLiga EA Sports.

This transformation includes a major evolution at a brand level, which has to do with its strategy and positioning, but will also be reflected in something as tangible as the audiovisual broadcasting or the digital ecosystem of LaLiga. LaLiga's new direction reflects the growth it has experienced over the last decade to become the largest football ecosystem in the world.

The support of LaLiga's strategic partners has been fundamental during all these years and will continue to be so from now on. For all of them, we offer a product whose idiosyncrasies make it a key player in the industry: it is multitarget, as it reaches people of different ages and backgrounds; it is multiengament, as it can interact in different ways and with different intensity; and it is multicultural, thanks to its global presence.

A strategic alliance to revolutionise the football industry

The union of LaLiga and EA SPORTS has also reached its peak of maturity. And it does so from a relationship that has been consolidated over the last 10 years, but which is now growing. Both are entering a new phase in which the video game leader becomes title sponsor of the competition, the first international sponsor to occupy this position.

The agreement is reflected in the nomenclature of the First Division, which will be renamed LaLiga EA Sports, and the Second Division, which will be called LaLiga Hypermotion.
