This Sunday, 47th Costa Brava Trophy at Montilivi
The 47th edition of the Costa Brava Trophy will take place at the Montilivi stadium on Sunday 23 March. The four protagonists will be the catalan teams participating in the Genuine League: FC Barcelona, RCD Espanyol, Gimnàstic de Tarragona and Girona FC.
The event will kick off at 11am and the first matches (semi-finals) at 11:30am. Simultaneously, the first two matches will pit Barça and Espanyol (Camp Gol Nord) and Nàstic and Girona (Camp Gol Sud). From 12:45 p.m. onwards, the matches for third and fourth place and the Final will take place.
Admission to the 47th Costa Brava Trophy will be FREE OF CHARGE.
Tournament rules
The tournament will follow the usual LaLiga Genuine rules, with the following conditions:
- Format: teams of 7+1 players.
- Duration of the matches:
* 4 halves of 10 minutes each.
* 2 minutes break between halves and 5 minutes at half time.
This edition of the Costa Brava Trophy aims to give visibility and recognition to teams made up of people with intellectual disabilities, highlighting the values of inclusion, effort and sportsmanship that they represent. This initiative also seeks to highlight the work carried out by Catalan clubs in this field and to encourage social support for projects that promote diversity and equal opportunities. By organising this event, Girona FC reaffirms its commitment to inclusive football.
