The international stop in white-and-red key

Yan Couto, Artem Dovbyk, Yangel Herrera, Arnau Martínez and Pablo Torre have enjoyed minutes during the engagements of their respective selections

Five of the six footballers from Girona who were called up by their national teams have had a leading role in this international stopover. Only Daley Blind has not played a single minute for the Netherlands national team.

The great novelty was Yan Couto's call with Brazil. The side debuted in a draw against Venezuela and started in the Canarinha national team's defeat to Uruguay. In the South American qualifiers, Yangel Herrera became a key player in Venezuela's matches. La vinotinto drew with Brazil and scored Chile in two matches where Yangel started.

Artem Dovbyk also played in both Ukrainian qualifying matches. The striker started both engagements, scoring one goal in a home win against Malta.

Finally, Arnau and Pablo Torre also added minutes in the Spanish Sub21 matches. The lateral maresmenc started in the friendly against Uzbekistan. On the other hand, Pablo Torre was part of the starting eleven in both matches against Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan.
