"Orgull gironí" armbands

A collection of nineteen Girona FC captain's armbands will strengthen the link with the link with the territory and publicise the main tourist attractions of the Girona area in LaLiga 2024-2025 among fans and visitors.

At the start of the 2024-2025 LaLiga season, Girona FC and the Girona Provincial Council's Costa Brava Girona Tourist Board are joining forces and collaborating on the project for the new captain's armbands, which will feature iconic illustrations of towns, attractions and events that are representative of the Costa Brava and the Girona Pyrenees during the team's home matches at Montilivi.

The nineteen armbands that make up the collection are made up of the Club's crest, the flag and an illustration representative of the territory. In the first match of the competition, which will be played at the Montilivi stadium on Thursday 29 August against Osasuna, the captain of the Girona team will wear the armband with the image of the Calella de Palafrugell seafront.

These illustrations have been designed by Patricia Barcenilla, graphic designer of the BarceDesign brand. The commemorative bracelets will be given as gifts to the organisations and associations involved.

This initiative is complemented by the dissemination of tourism-related content on the social networks of Girona and the Costa Brava Girona Tourist Board of Girona Provincial Council.

Previously, as part of the ‘Girona, Territori de Champions’ campaign, actions have been carried out such as the commemorative shirt of a historic season personalised by municipalities, competitions and prize draws and, most recently this August, the street marketing action in which eight emblematic sculptures from the counties of Girona wore the new shirt of the Girona first team (the Petit Príncep de la platja de Riells de l'Escala, the Petit Príncep de la platja de Riells de l'Escala, Ava Gardner from Tossa de Mar, the Defensors of Girona in the city's Plaça Independència, the Nena tocant l'aigua at the lake in Banyoles, Josep Cabrinetty from Puigcerdà, La noia del càntir from Tortellà, Carmen Amaya from Begur and the statue of the 27th of May in Ripoll).
