MGC Mutua new premium sponsor of Girona FC for three seasons
Delfí Geli, president of Girona FC, and Xavier Plana, general manager of MGC Mutua, have presented the new sponsorship agreement until 2026.
Girona FC and MGC Mutua have signed a sponsorship agreement whereby the insurance company will be the Club's premium sponsor and official health insurer for the next three seasons, until the end of the 2025/2026 season. The agreement aims to reinforce the commitment and support of the Catalan insurer with the Club and all its fans. Xavier Plana, general manager of MGC Mutua, and president Delfí Geli, presented this new alliance at the Montilivi stadium.
Xavier Plana declared that "sponsoring Girona FC is very exciting for us, we are a mutual company that has been deeply rooted in our territory for more than 40 years and we fully share the Club's values such as effort, commitment and also the promotion of a healthy lifestyle. I am convinced that this link with such an emblematic Club, with so much future and success, will allow us to strengthen our position as the mutual society of Catalonia and Girona".
For his part, the president of Girona, Delfí Geli, welcomed MGC Mutua to the red and white family. "It is a great satisfaction to have them as travelling companions. They are a leading company in the sector, rooted in the territory and seeking excellence. We are very satisfied," said the Club's CEO.
For MGC Mutua, sports sponsorship is a strategic communication tool that helps to disseminate values that the entity shares with sport, such as trust, effort and commitment. Through sponsorship, the insurer wants to promote the practice of sport and its benefits for health and disease prevention, in line with its mission as a health insurer.
The agreement also contemplates exclusive sponsorship as the Club's official health insurer and establishes various considerations in terms of brand rights, Hospitality packages for MGC Mutua clients, as well as image in the Montilivi stadium and in the Club's different communication channels. At the same time, the established commitment will allow MGC Mutua to develop, activate and coordinate together with the Club innovative actions, both digital and face-to-face, aimed at the fans.
